Im looking for some dating idea for a morman girl does anyone have any ideas what is tasteful but classy?
November 3, 2009 | 1 Comment
would like to have a nice evening that is very romantic yet not sexual because i feel that this will show that i respect her and what she belives. Im having a hard time to think of anything.
Naw, all of us out here in Yahoo Answerland are just too disrespectful and classless to date mormon women because we are just too unromantic and horny.
That being said, to answer your question (that no one else is), try taking her to a dinner, then a movie and finish the evening off at a coffee shop with some pie and ice cream. And if you really want to go all out, try getting dressed up and going to the opera instead of a movie. Now, was that really too difficult?
Did you pass your Psych. Eval. for the Police Force?
Were you really kicked out of the Morman Church while trying to attend with your girlfriend and her parents?
Good luck.

November 2, 2009 | 3 Comments
Anything about golf birthday gift will do for a person who loves the sport and the discipline it entails. For someone special, a well-thought of golf birthday gift would be perfect!
Jasmine, a friend of mine, had been dating Bryan for quite sometime. Both of them met in one of the most popular online dating site. She wants to give him a unique birthday gift that is related to golf as he is an avid golfer. I told her that she can give him anything related to golf but she should be creative if she really wants to please him. There are plenty of golf items that are already out in the market and it is up to her which among these products to give as a golf present.
In the case of Jasmine, she has already established a close relationship with Bryan and she wants to surprise him with a golf birthday gift that would touch his heart and make him remember his first birthday with Jasmine. Given the status of their relationship, I told her to look for something personal and memorable even if it is a golf birthday gift.
If she really wants to give Bryan a golf item as birthday gift but at the same time she wants the gift to be something special, then I suggested something sweet and less expensive like a specially designed birthday cake with a golf motif. Like Jasmine, you can also have any kind of cake baked but make sure the decoration and the theme are all about golf. The cake can be turned into an edible miniature golf course with matching golfer putting on the course.
The golf birthday cake I suggested to Jasmine was a hit as Bryan got so thrilled he finally asked her to be his steady date. Choosing a golf birthday cake can also bring wonders between you and your boyfriend. Such a golf birthday gift would mean a lot to him as it means you care enough about him to think of his favorite sport as the main theme for your gift.
There are however other options for golf birthday gifts for men like golf accessories including golf clubs, balls and golf bags. If you want to give a golf birthday gift that would physically stand the test of time and if money is not an issue then why not give your special someone something more expensive but very useful like golf club? There are different kinds of golf clubs to choose from as a birthday gift and you have to choose the type which suits his personality.
If your special someone is just starting out, the best golf item as a birthday gift you can give him would be a golf teaching video or book. He will definitely cherish the thought as well as the golf birthday gift itself as it will be very useful to him in and out of the golf course. If he is already an avid golfer then he will most probably have several golf teaching aids already but any avid golfer can never have too many golf aid books. Like all golfers, your special someone will welcome any addition to his golf aid collection because it will help him improve their game.
There are DVDs about the life of famous golfers and getting one as a gift for the love of your life would be ideal. Any person who loves golf can learn a thing or two from the masters just by watching their life stories and how they play their game. Golf videos as a birthday gift would be a welcome addition to the collection of any golfer.
If your man loves to read then an annual subscription of a golf magazine would also be an ideal golf birthday gift. Getting the golf magazine every month will make him remember you every time he receives the subscription and every time he looks at those magazines.
Golf is an activity that keeps any person fit because it provides a leisurely excuse to exercise. If you want to encourage your loved one to get a good dose of exercise, give him a golf birthday gift. Who knows, he will start to love the sport if he is not already addicted to it.

Tips for Writing a Good Memo in Business Communication
November 2, 2009 | Leave a Comment
Business writing differs significantly from article or academic writing. Business communication is generally in the form of reports, policies, instructions, procedures, memos, letters, orders or rules & regulations. Memos are business letters but only for employees & used within an organization.
Memos are used to give information to employees such as changes in some procedures or rules, policy change or for specific purpose like request to attend a meeting. The format of the memo differs from business letter format. Memos generally contain sections like to, from, date, subject & text of memo.
Points to remember while writing a memo:
If you are sending memo to specific person, then you should write correct name of the reader. You can write job title along with name to make it more formal.
Subject should not be vague or unclear. It should be brief & specific, which can give an idea about the purpose of the memo.
Generally, memos do not contain salutation or complimentary closing.
The text in text section of memo should be concise, clear, to the point.
Avoid use of long and complex sentences that contain too much information. Short sentences make your message more readable and understandable. You can use headings & bullets to make your memo easy to read.
First paragraph in text area or opening paragraph should contain background of the problem & purpose of the memo. Memo’s recipient should get an overview of the memo by reading the first paragraph only.
In next paragraphs, you can explain the steps you have taken or methods and sources you have used to solve the problems.
Last paragraph should be the closing segment, where you can request your reader to take an action to solve the problem. Some people use conclusion at the end of memo to summarize the content. Conclusions are also useful for suggestions and recommendations or if you wish to make a request to the reader.
If there are any attachments, always mention at the end, after closing segment.
Always proofread your memo before sending it. You can use software programs, which are available for business writing, for proofreading & to check and correct English grammar & spellings in your memo. Some software programs enrich your text with adjectives & adverbs, which enhances the simple sentence into more professional and sophisticated one & suggest context related synonym for repeated words.

Dog Bite Injuries: Frequently Asked Questions
November 2, 2009 | Leave a Comment
Question.
How many people die every year as a result of dog bites?
Answer.
Ten to 20 people die every year as a result of dog bites in the U.S. By far, the majority of the victims are children. In a three-year period between 1999 and 2001, 33 people died after being bitten by a dog. A vast majority of these victims (24 of 33) were under 12 years of age.
Question.
Why do some dogs bite?
Answer.
There are many reasons why a dog bites. Dogs bite out of fear or to protect their territory or to establish their dominance over the person bitten. Some owners mistakenly teach their dogs that biting is an acceptable form of play behavior. And every year a number of newborn infants die when they are bitten by dogs who see them as “prey.” Because dog bites occur for a variety of reasons, many components of responsible dog ownershipincluding proper socialization, supervision, humane training, sterilization, and safe confinementare necessary to prevent biting.
Question.
Which dogs most commonly bite? Are some breeds more likely to bite than others?
Answer.
The breeds most commonly involved in both bite injuries and fatalities changes from year to year and from one area of the country to another, depending on the popularity of the breed. Although genetics do play some part in determining whether a dog will bite, other factors such as whether the animal is spayed or neutered, properly socialized, supervised, humanely trained, and safely confined play significantly greater roles. Responsible dog ownership of all breeds is the key to dog bite prevention.
Question.
How can local laws prevent dog bites?
Answer.
The most effective dangerous dog laws are those that place the legal responsibility for a dog’s actions on the owner rather than on the dog. The best laws hold the owner accountable for the bite victim’s pain and suffering, and mandate certain corrective actions such as spay/neuter and proper confinement of the dog. For more information on legislation that will effectively reduce dog bites in your community, contact The HSUS. For guidance on developing a dog bite prevention plan in your community, read the American Veterinary Medical Association’s A Community Approach to Dog Bite Prevention.
Question.
What should I do if I am bitten by a dog?
Answer.
If you are bitten or attacked by a dog, try not to panic.
º Immediately wash the wound thoroughly with soap and warm water.
º Contact your physician for additional care and advice.
º Report the bite to your local animal care and control agency. Tell the animal control official everything you know about the dog, including his owner’s name and the address where he lives. If the dog is a stray, tell the animal control official what the dog looks like, where you saw him, whether you’ve seen him before, and in which direction he went.
Question.
Can children be taught to avoid being bitten by a dog?
Answer.
Yes, just as we teach our children to practice safety in other situations, we can teach them to be safe around dogs. The most important lessons for children to learn are not to chase or tease dogs they know and to avoid dogs they don’t know.
Question.
Is there any way I can “bite-proof” my dog?
Answer.
There is no way to guarantee that your dog will never bite someone. But you can significantly reduce the risk. Here’s how:
º Spay or neuter your dog. This important procedure will reduce your dog’s desire to roam and fight with other dogs, making safe confinement an easier task. Spayed or neutered dogs are three times less likely to bite.
º Socialize your dog. Introduce your dog to many different types of people and situations so that he or she is not nervous or frightened under normal social circumstances.
º Train your dog. Accompanying your dog to a training class is an excellent way to socialize him and to learn proper training techniques. Training your dog is a family matter. Every member of your household should learn the training techniques and participate in your dog’s education.
º Never send your dog away to be trained; only you can teach your dog how to behave in your home.
º Teach your dog appropriate behavior. Don’t play aggressive games with your dog such as wrestling, tug-of-war, or “siccing” your dog on another person. Set appropriate limits for your dog’s behavior. Don’t wait for an accident. The first time he exhibits dangerous behavior toward any person, particularly toward children, seek professional help from your veterinarian, an animal behaviorist, or a qualified dog trainer. Your community animal care and control agency or humane society may also offer helpful services. Dangerous behavior toward other animals may eventually lead to dangerous behavior toward people, and is also a reason to seek professional help.
º Be a responsible dog owner. License your dog as required by law, and provide regular veterinary care, including rabies vaccinations. For everyone’s safety, don’t allow your dog to roam. Make your dog a member of your family: Dogs who spend a great deal of time alone in the backyard or tied on a chain often become dangerous. Dogs who are well-socialized and supervised rarely bite.
º Err on the safe side. If you don’t know how your dog will react to a new situation, be cautious. If your dog may panic in crowds, leave him at home. If your dog overreacts to visitors or delivery or service personnel, keep him in another room. Work with professionals to help your dog become accustomed to these and other situations. Until you are confident of his behavior, however, avoid stressful settings.
Question.
What should I do if my dog bites someone?
Answer.
If your dog bites someone, act responsibly by taking these steps:
º Confine your dog immediately and check on the victim’s condition. If necessary, seek medical help.
º Provide the victim with important information, such as the date of your dog’s last rabies vaccination.
º Cooperate with the animal control official responsible for acquiring information about your dog. If your dog must be quarantined for any length of time, ask whether he may be confined within your home or at your veterinarian’s hospital. Strictly follow quarantine requirements for your dog.
º Seek professional help to prevent your dog from biting again. Consult with your veterinarian, who may refer you to an animal behaviorist or a dog trainer. Your community animal care and control agency or humane society may also offer helpful services.
º If your dog’s dangerous behavior cannot be controlled, do not give him to someone else without carefully evaluating that person’s ability to protect him and prevent him from biting. a Because you know your dog is dangerous, you may be held liable for any damage he does even when he is given to someone else.
º Don’t give your dog to someone who wants a dangerous dog. “Mean” dogs are often forced to live miserable, isolated lives, and become even more likely to attack someone in the future. If you must give up your dog due to dangerous behavior, consult with your veterinarian and with your local animal care and control agency or humane society about your options.

5 Ideas for Re-sparking your Relationship Before It Fizzles Out
November 1, 2009 | Leave a Comment
Are you sitting at the breakfast table in your old, flannel robe and fuzzy slippers, while your significant other is next to you, reading the paper in his boxers and 8-year-old, holey, white t-shirt that he refuses to throw away? Are you acting like an old married couple after only a few years (or even months), barely acknowledging each other as the new day begins? What could be a very powerful, loving relationship has become dull and dreary before your eyes.
It doesn’t have to be this way. In fact, one of the largest problems in married couples today is caused by the belief that the romantic spark will stay intact without any effort from either party. The truth is just the opposite, and if you want the fire to stay lit, you’d better plan on investing in a lot of matches throughout your life. Here are 5 “matches” to get you well on your way to re-sparking your relationship:
1. Remember to be who you are- before “you” became “we”. One of the easiest ways to do this is to keep your own interests and do your own thing on a regular basis-after all, that’s who they fell in love with. You like hockey, he likes wrestling… you like roller blading, he likes video games… keep it that way! If you spend every waking moment together with someone, no matter how much you love him/her and how perfect you are together, too much of anything will drive you crazy.
2. Keep “dating” your significant other. Just because you live together and money may be a bit tighter than it used to be doesn’t mean the dating should end; a night out on the town will work wonders to break up the monotony. Dinner and a movie, a night of “people watching” at the mall, or sitting in the parking lot of your favorite coffee shop drinking a latte, whatever makes the two of you happy (together) will work wonders.
3. Don’t threaten. No matter how upset, frustrated, or genuinely angry you are, threatening to leave, kick him out, or throw away his holey white t-shirt is definitely a blow below the belt. Every relationship has its ups and downs, and fighting is typically a healthy part.
4. Shut off the TV during dinner. This should be “you and your honey, how was your day” time, not watch the news or Drew Carey rerun time. Remember, you’re looking for quality time, not quantity.
5. Add a few “Extra Sparks” to the bedroom. Yes, even sex can get boring if it’s done the same way all the time. Maybe take a “surprise” weekend trip to a local hotel and never leave the room until you have to go home. How about adding an adult toy or DVD to the usual routine- as long as the two of you are okay with it and have an open mind, as sharing such intimate moments is key to a long, happy marriage.
